From our start point beside the HMS Belfast, we will be visiting a number of nautical themed pubs in and around the London Bridge / Southwark / Waterloo area. A good sailor is never far from the water, so fear not, as we will be close to the glorious River Thames at all times.
Start Point: HMS Belfast (The Queens Walk, Tooley Street, London Bridge, SE1 2JH)
Pub #1: The Anchor Tap (28 Horselydown Lane, Bermondsey, SE1 2LN)
Pub #2: The Shipwright’s Arms (88 Tooley Street, London Bridge, SE1 2TF)
Pub #3: The Anchor (34 Park St, London Bridge, SE1 9EF)
Pub #4: Lord Nelson (243 Union Street, Southwark, SE1 0LR) NB At this stop we will be raising a toast to the scourge of the sea, Lord Nelson.
Pub #5: The Ship (68 Borough High Street, Borough, SE1 1DX)
Pub #6 (End Point): The Anchor and Hope (36 The Cut, Southwark, SE1 8LP)
Please be at the start point at 7pm. We will aim to spend a maximum of 30 minutes in each pub before moving on to the next venue. The distance between each pub is less than ten minutes walking so there should be plenty of time to cover the full route.
